ViCA Privacy Policy
for Android
The ViCA application uses some personal data during its runtime.
The ViCA application uses following data:
1. During the registration process to a certain bank, it uses the registration data received from the bank (e.g. group code, short name, alias).
2. During any electronic communication with the bank, it uses the IP address of your device.
3. During any electronic communication with the bank, it uses the device ID (IMEI number).
4. If the Android version of your device is lower than 4.0.4, then it uses the data of your Google account. In case of Android version 4.0.4 or higher, the application does not use the data of your Google account.
5. It uses the transactional data sent by the bank.
Technical information
Why these data are needed:
1. The bank identifies you with the registration data.
2. The IP address is required for a successful electronic communication.
3. Since the ViCA application can only be used from one device at any given time, it uses the device ID to identify the device.
4. The ViCA application uses the GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) service, which is required to be able to send messages (push notifications). If the Android version of your device is lower than 4.0.4, then the data of your Google account are needed to use this service.
5. The transactional data are required for the app to function.
Data storage
The application does not store any personal data it uses.
The data will be stored on the servers of the particular bank to which you registered.
The data transfer between the servers of the bank and the application uses an encrypted channel.
Third Party
Besides the client's bank and the services granted by Google, the ViCA application does not connect to any service hosted by third parties.
Further information
Regarding the handling of any personal data, the corresponding sections of the contract between the client and the bank are prevalent.
By using Google services, Google's privacy policy also applies.
